Glazed Donuts

This fluffy glazed donut is perfectly coated with a sweet, glossy glaze that melts in your mouth with every bite

Ingredients

DONUTS

  • ¼ cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup full-fat sour cream
  • 2 ea eggs, room temperature
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ cup Whole Earth Monk Fruit with Erythritol
  • ½ cup unflavored whey protein powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1-2 tbsp milk

GLAZE

  • 1/2 cup Powdered Sugar Alternative made with Whole Earth (*see recipe)
  • 2 tbsp milk (whole or 2% or any alternative)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

POWDERED SUGAR ALTERNATIVE MADE WITH WHOLE EARTH

  • 2 cups Whole Earth Monk Fruit with Erythritol
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Preparation

DONUTS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and lightly grease donut pan
  2. In a medium mixing bowl combine wet ingredients, sour cream, yogurt, egg, vanilla, oil and Whole Earth Monk Fruit with Erythritol. Whisk until fully incorporated
  3. Sift dry ingredients, flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt and add to wet all at once until fully incorporated and batter is thick (If you feel batter is too thick, then add a bit of milk). Batter should be on the thicker side
  4. Using a piping bag or tablespoon, spread batter evenly in each donut cavity. Do not fill the cavity all the way up to the top, the donut hole will close up
  5. Bake for 7 minutes, Rotate pans and cook for another 4-5 minutes
  6. Remove donuts from oven and let cool for 10-15 minutes and remove

POWDERED SUGAR ALTERNATIVE MADE WITH WHOLE EARTH

  1. Place Whole Earth Monk Fruit with Erythritol and cornstarch in a high-speed blender and blend for 30 seconds or until fluffy
  2. Store in an air-tight container

GLAZE

  1. Combine powdered sugar alternative made with Whole Earth, milk, and vanilla extract in a bowl and mix by hand until smooth, about 1 minute
  2. After donuts have come to room temperature, dip each donut into glaze, allowing any excess to drip off and place on cooling rack
