Vanilla Cinnamon Latte

Ingredients

VANILLA CINNAMON SIMPLE SYRUP

CINNAMON SWEETENER MIXTURE

VANILLA CINNAMON LATTE

  • ¼ cup espresso
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 tbsp vanilla-cinnamon syrup (reserve one tbsp for rimming glass) (see recipe)
  • 1-2 tbsp coconut whipped cream

Preparation

VANILLA CINNAMON SIMPLE SYRUP

  1. Combine all ingredients in small pot and bring to a soft boil
  2. Once the syrup begins to simmer, whisk in xanthan gum
  3. Remove from heat and let sit for at least 1 hour, refrigerate

CINNAMON SWEETENER MIXTURE

  1. Add Whole Earth sweetener and cinnamon in a small bowl and stir together until evenly mixed
  2. Store in air-tight container

LATTE

  1. Combine milk and vanilla-cinnamon syrup in small pot over medium heat and whisk or use immersion blender until milk has a frothy consistency (about 4-5 minutes)
  2. Place one tbsp of syrup on small plate or shallow container (big enough to fit the glass)
  3. Place cinnamon sweetener mixture on another plate
  4. To rim the glass, dip the whole rim (or just a section) in syrup, then dip into the sugar mixture
  5. Pour espresso in the bottom of mug, then pour milk and use a spoon to lay froth on top
  6. Top with coconut whipped cream
